Trump asks Congress to probe wiretap claims

US president Donald Trump is requesting that Congress test "possibly politically inspired examinations" amid the 2016 crusade, the White House said Sunday.

The declaration came one day after Trump took to Twitter to blame his ancestor Barack Obama for tapping his telephones in front of the November decision, without giving confirmation of the dangerous charge.

An Obama representative has denied Trump's allegation as "just false."

In his announcement, White House Press Secretary Sean Spicier alluded to unspecified reports of "conceivably politically propelled examinations quickly in front of the 2016 decision" as "exceptionally disturbing."

"President Donald J. Trump is asking for that as a feature of their examination concerning Russian movement, the congressional knowledge boards practice their oversight expert to figure out if official branch investigative forces were manhandled in 2016," Spicer said.

He included that there would be no greater remark on the matter from Trump or the White House.

Trump leveled his charges against Obama early Saturday, toward the finish of seven days in which his organization was battered by contention over correspondences between Russian authorities and some of his senior associates including Attorney General Jeff Sessions.

"I'd wagered a decent legal counselor could present an incredible defense out of the way that President Obama was tapping my telephones in October, only before Election!" Trump composed.

"How low has President Obama gone to tapp (sic) my telephones amid the extremely sacrosanct race prepare. This is Nixon/Watergate. Terrible (or debilitated) fellow!" he wrote in another tweet, alluding to the political outrage that toppled president Richard Nixon in 1974.
